Intro to Emulsion Screen Printing
Learn the process of emulsion screen printing to create detailed and vibrant designs on various surfaces, such as fabric, paper, metal and more.
Whether you're interested in creating your own personal merchandise or fine art posters, this hands on workshop will explain the process in detail so that you can add this versatile medium to your creative arsenal. Individuals will learn the fundamentals of screen printing and image creation while printing with water based ink using a table press.
Class times: 3rd Saturday of the month. 10am to 3pm
Class sizes: 3-8 students
Imagery appropriate for this class includes, photography, graphic art, handmade illustration, or a combination of the two.
It is highly encouraged for Students to bring in images for reference!

To work from digital designs students need to provide a laptop or tablet with a digital image editing software installed (ex: Photoshop, Procreate, etc)

Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?
Students younger than 18, we ask that a parent or guardian sign a liability waiver. Any students younger than 15 we require a parent/guardian to be present (with their own class ticket) and willing to assist. This is an intro level workshop. There are no prerequisites.

What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?
Visual Philosophy has a parking lot available to attendees in the rear of the building accessible via Julian St. HWY 280, 87 and Diridon Caltrain station are very close.

What's the refund policy?
By purchasing a course or workshop, you are obligated to provide payment in full prior to the start date. Courses and workshops may be cancelled 5 days in advance with money returned. Course and workshop tuition purchased but not completed in full or by the start of course can not be refunded.
About the instructor - Eric Vasquez

Eric Vasquez is an in-house Artist and educator with a background in graphic design and mixed media arts. Aside from teaching, he produces work to be exhibited in Galleries and continues to paint vibrant murals around the bay area. His current focus is in art education, printmaking and growing the print making community at Visual Philosophy Studios.
